There are a lot of good reasons to switch, GBOWR notwithstanding.

First, it's open source and there are tons of great developers working on it. Better yet, there are a ton of great developers creating add-ons and extensions for it. Completely free.

In fact, that alone is enough of a selling point if you ask me. The extensions that are available are numerous and it is easy to find one that will add efficiency to your workflow, no matter what you do.

(And don't worry, you can run as many browsers on your computer as you want and you'll be fine.)

Of course, as I indicated above, Firefox also has a new tool called the Awesome Bar that will change the way you interact with the web, and the ability to easily customize every single part of the browser and browsing experience makes Firefox a clear choice for best user experience.

Finally, the browser is standards-compliant, which means you see website the way they were intended to be seen. IE and other browsers use hacks and omit some standards that causes layout, presentation, typography, and color issues.

Ok. I'm still using IE. Now I feel like a laggard for the second time today.

So why Firefox? And will my computer crash if i have both IE and FF?

I better get a good answer because getting into the GBOWR is not worth the hassle of using FF...i'm just a YorkU grad for heaven's sake!!
