Lara, I know what you mean about fading fast by 10am. I've realized I have noticeable 30-minute slumps in productivity at around 10am, 2pm, and 6pm. I wish I could be like Alistair and be a mid-day napper, but once I sleep in the afternoon, no matter what time it is, I end up staying asleep until the next morning.

I live in-between your world, my wife is a night owl, and I am a morning man, I find myself more a mid day napper.

I'm a morning person - it's just in my nature to go to bed early and get up early. I like to get up at 5 a.m. and work out, then shower and spend about an hour at the computer before I ever head out to work. I love that time, it's when I'm sharpest and freshest and most creative! I'm fading fast by 9:30 or 10 pm. I try to go out with friends once in a while and stay out late, but I need a whole weekend to recuperate when I do that. Sleep is so essential! Here's to the early birds who catch the worms. :)
