I’m never one to pass up a fun internet meme — particularly one that is being spread by my favorite blogger Jason Kottke — so I’d like to chime in on the Onion AV Club’s question of the week:
What’s your most-rewatched movie?
Here’s my list of top 10 most-rewatched movies:
- Beauty and the Beast
- Garden State
- Cool Runnings
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
- Dodgeball
- The Shawshank Redemption
- Fight Club
- Edward Scissorhands
- Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
- The Usual Suspects
What’s on your list? And more importantly, what does it say about you?
(Oh, and if you’re feeling generous, help me out by leaving a comment on my earlier post ‘Carsonified’ and help me win a trip to an exciting web event.)
The Third Man
Citizen Kane
Scrooge (A Christmas Carol; 1951)
It’s A Wonderful Life
Dr. Strangelove
Mrs. Miniver
A Clockwork Orange
Blade Runner
When Harry Met Sally
You’ve Got Mail
Ah, nice list. I think I need to try and fit When Harry Met Sally onto mine as well. I love me a good romantic comedy.
Wow! I don’t know about a Top Ten List but I DO watch Saving Private Ryan every Remembrance Day. This year I hope to add Passchendale (sp?) to this.
Funny, those are two films I barely ever watch. Who would have thought? Are you a fan of war films?
Not really a fan of war films.
The relationship between Tom Hanks and his crew is symbolic of relationships on teams in general. I really enjoyed this. I was also intrigued by the storyline. The “wimp” is a reminder to everyone not to waste opportunity.
And everyday I need to remind myself to “Earn this.”
Although we live in much different times today, I still appreciate the sacrifice these young men and women went through many years ago.
