Jack Cheng’s most excellent article on maxing out your triangle leads off today’s Weekender. In it, Jack argues that instead of trying to do your job to make money and do a hobby to keep happy at the same time, your job and your hobby should both be the same, thus maximizing your balance of money, growth, and love.
Sound advice. Even better when you see it all plotted on 3d triangles.

The Weekender is inspired by Michael Surtees’ weekly link drop. Go read his site. It rocks.

WOW! That’s a ton of reading! Good on ya! I hope to finish Freakonomics by the 15th so i can then get on to finishing a John Maxwell leadership book. Enjoy!
Good luck with that reading Karim. I’m only processing about two books a month right now, but I read a ton of articles (as evidenced by this post) to keep things fresh every day.
Just went to chapter’s yesterday and here is my reading list for the next little while:
-Prisoner in Tehran
- The World is Flat
- The Snowball: Warren Buffet and the Business of Life
A weird mix, I know, but I’m trying to expand my horizons. Plus the last one was given to me by my boss as suggested reading.
Pretty neat list Shaista. When I’m ready to start reading books again (after my move, of course) I’ll check that last one out. (I’ve read the first two.)
In the meantime, I’ll keep enjoying the links I find on the web to keep my reading levels up.
Sameer, you’ve posted some really thought provoking articles. Thanks for sharing them.
